1922 Unique photograph of infielder John L. Mann as he worked out with the Detroit Tigers and hoped to make a big league roster. Mann lingered in the minor leagues for years and eventually got the call for six games as a member of the 1928 White Sox, but this 1922 image is the only one we know of in the hobby.
