1919 Large and beautiful action photograph of star infielder of the Cleveland Indians, Ray Chapman, as he shows how to run the bases during spring training. It would be the last full season in the big leagues for Chapman who would become the only major leaguer killed in a game during the next season (1920). A unique new discovery that is being offered here for the first time ever and in nice shape overall. Images of Chapman are rare and undervalued considering his place in the history of the game with this being one of the best out there we have ever handled.
