Large and beautiful 1914 photograph of young Babe Ruth and his new bride Helen Woodford as they honeymooned just a few days after their marriage. Released in 1929 after Helen was killed in a housefire, this is still the only 1914 image of Ruth we have ever handled that dates to his career. Issued through Wide World Photos and with a large paper caption on the back, this is an important new discovery from a newspaper archive that is being offered here for the first time ever! Photo has some edge chipping and wear but the image portion is quite nice overall.
