Artistic and beautiful c. 1924-25 photograph of the great baseball God "Babe" Ruth as he shows off his muscles and the large frame that enabled him to launch baseballs into the seats. A somewhat corny image taken atop the roof of a building in New York and with a putting green serving as the carpet, the image is fantastic with Ruth wearing athletic shoes and nothing but underwear to show off his body as he prepared to go on one of his first barnstorming trips with new agent Christy Walsh after the 1924 season we believe. Issued by the Walsh Syndicate (the first sports agent in modern athletics), the image has some slight discoloration from editorial paint but it looks amazing and has remained in great shape overall. One of the top images of Ruth from this era we have ever seen, looking youthful and full of energy, he is also holding one of his game bats for good measure!
