Original March 28, 1968 photograph of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as he arrived in Memphis for a sanitation workers strike. He was welcomed by his followers, but a riot would break out in the aftermath, prompting outrage and eventually an assassin taking the life of King just six days later on April 4. This is one of the only images of King in Memphis and showing him working in the city before he was shot. Condition is great and the rarity can not be overstated.
