There are few events or images that have resonated throughout time like the Hindenburg as it burst into flames over Lakehurst, New Jersey. The photo has been seen a billion times and the broadcast of a journalist crying and yelling "oh the humanity" has been heard a billion more! Original items relating to the disaster however are quite rare, which makes this offered photo all the more spectacular. A rare image of the massive airship, taken just a second or two after it burst into flames and is still airborne, but engulfed in flames! While not stamped or dated, this appears to be a 1950's re-strike but in great condition and with some significant age to it!
