Original 1951 photograph of actor Clayton Moore in full costume as "The Lone Ranger" along with his sidekick "Tonto" as they appeared in New York City at a Rodeo. Moore dominated the 1950's but most images we have found of him in costume were issued in the mid-late 1950's, with this 1951 image being the earliest we have found to date and it is a rare image from "behind the scenes." Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is identified on the back as the work of photographer Hans Newhart.
