The 1916 film "A Daughter of the Gods" is infamous in Hollywood as the first film to have nudity. The subject of this scene was seductive actress Annette Kellermann and she was launched into iconic status for her role. This is an actual dated 1916 original studio photograph from the very film that put sex into the industry and it pictures Kellermann herself wearing a more covered up, but still sexy outfit showing her midriff. The photo is the ONLY studio image from the ground breaking film that actually shows the nude scene that we have ever seen. Photo has a crease at two of the corners and a small edge chip from editorial use, but it otherwise presents pretty well. The importance of this film can not be overstated in Hollywood history!
