Lot Description  

Large c. 1918 (WWI Era) portrait style photo of famous auto racer and manufacturer, Louis Chevrolet. He is more famous today as the man whose name graces one of the top automobile lines in history, but when this image was taken he was known more for his racing than manufacturing. A rare image that is among the only of Chevrolet we have ever seen! Photo presents well with note to a few pinholes from editorial use.
