Extremely rare 1938 photograph of Joe Lapchick who was the first great professional basketball player in America. He was the original GOAT before Mikan, Russell, Wilt and Jordan! A rare piece of basketball history from Acme and with a full paper caption on the back. He was a recently retired player and the head coach at St. John's when this image was taken. One of his only images we have ever seen!
