1924 Portrait photograph of Max Marston, the reigning U.S. Amateur Champion as he looked to defend his title the next year at the famous Merion Cricket Club. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a large paper caption, he is one of the toughest players of his era to find images of with this being his only portrait we have ever offered! Note the editorial markings on this image are embedded into the negative. Photo has a few light pinholes but otherwise it presents beautifully.
