Kid Norfolk was one of the top fighters of his era, but was held back from superstardom by the color of his skin. A man who was willing to fight anyone anywhere, he holds the distinction of beating some of the biggest fighters of the era including Harry Greb, Joe Jeannette, Billy Miske, and Tiger Flowers etc. A fantastic piece of boxing history and from the Keystone View Company and with a stamp on the back as well as a paper caption, this is dated from 1922 which is the earliest of the handful of his images we have ever handled. The photo is essentially perfect with some very light discoloration at the bottom and right side from age.
