Jake Powell was a good baseball player for the New York Yankees, but depression and ultimately being faced with some jail time after writing a bad check took it's toll and he committed suicide in his hotel room rather than being taken into custody. This was a huge scandal in baseball at the time, but the photo is an incredible piece of history as it is the only image of a ballplayers body being removed after a suicide that we have ever seen! A wire photo in nice shape with a small crease being the only flaw.
