1939 Photograph of the best one-two punch in baseball as veteran slugger Jimmie Foxx poses with his rookie teammate Ted Williams in uniform at the ballpark. The image captures both players with their bats and the 1939 patch on Williams' jersey is clearly visible. The back has a large newspaper caption from when the image was used in publication and is also dated from August 24, 1939 by the paper. The photo has been certified by PSA as a Type 1 and has their sticker on the back (we do not have the letter but this can be ordered as a replacement). One of the finest images of Williams that can be absolutely dated to his rookie year that we have handled in some time. The photo is in great shape with note to some light handling wear and some editorial tracing from newspaper publication as well.
