1922 Exceptional photograph of baseball player Austin McHenry in uniform with the St. Louis Cardinals as it was announced that he had been taken to a hospital with a serious brain injury. He would die from his illness but at the time this photo was issued, he was clinging to life. A rare player to find quality images of with this being one of the only examples out there. Photo has a stamp and paper caption on the back from the International News.
