Beautiful c. 1926 portrait photograph of a young Lefty Grove in uniform with the Philadelphia Athletics. The A's used this uniform from 1925-1927 and we feel confident this is a 1925-26 image which would be right about his rookie year with the club. It appears as though the hat is the same as a 1926 photo of grove we have sold in the past. There is a small rip on the right edge and a few pinholes but it looks great overall. Slabbed by PSA, this is one of his best images we have ever handled (Type 1).
