1926 Photograph of the plaque that was created to honor Christy Mathewson after he passed away as it was unveiled in Boston. The image is poignant and thought provoking as the people standing above it are all his closest loved ones including his wife, son, sister and his father. His wife gently touches the railing as if she was saying goodbye all over again. An important work of baseball photography with artistic overtones, issued by the International Newsreel and stamped on the back with a full paper caption. There is a really small rip on the upper border, otherwise it presents well.
