1926 Photograph of Hans Lobert, New York Giants coach and former friend of Christy Mathewson, serving as auctioneer during the benefit game for Mathewson. The Giants were auctioning off a baseball signed by the President of the United States and a fan named "Only" Warner paid the astronomical sum of $750 for it. A rare image from an important game that is being offered here for the first time ever with this being one of the first images of a piece of baseball memorabilia being auctioned (It happened before but this is the first known photograph of an auction taking place). Taken by the Paul Thompson photo service and stamped on the back, the photo grades a perfect 10/10!
