In the world of baseball photography, the mundane things that nobody thought to capture a hundred years ago are now the rarest aspects of the game to find quality images of. With that sentiment in mind, this photograph is a gem! Philadelphia was buzzing with baseball fever as the World Series got underway and even the streets were saturated with baseball mania. This rare look at the stadium from behind the left field wall shows the stadium, crowds, and spectators milling about. The image shows the long line of fans waiting to get into the ballpark while kids and vendors were already cashing in by giving these eager fans their fill of newspapers and food. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption, this is one of the better images of it's kind we have ever seen! Photo is a double weight and in generally fine condition.
