1926 Large photograph of a convicted wife beater being given lashes as punishment in a Baltimore prison. Nothing like this could happen today and as a result, photographic evidence that it ever happened are extremely rare. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with most of the original paper caption as well. Photo has a crease on the lower right corner that is starting to break but the image quality is strong.
