1920 Silver gelatin photograph of Giants stars Benny Kauff at the ballpark in full uniform. Kauff was one of the most important players of the era known as "the Ty Cobb of the Federal League" he won the batting title in both years the league existed before moving on to the Giants. He was implicated in an auto-theft ring after the 1920 season and banned from baseball by Judge Landis despite very little proof of his guilt. The offered image is one of only a handful of original Kauff images we know of and the quality is outstanding despite creasing . Issued by International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption.
