Daniel Frohman was one of the most influential and famous men in America when he took in a ball game at the Polo Grounds around 1918-19. He had front row seats and was either given a ball as a gift or was set to throw out the first pitch as he is playing with the sphere against the railing and posing for photographer George Grantham Bain's photo service. Bold and clean, this is a crystal clear work of photography.
