Rare 1957-58 action photograph from the Caribbean baseball tournament that was more like the World Series for Latin American players and teams than a post season exhibition. Here, young Roberto Clemente of the Puerto Rico squad is sliding hard into second in a game against Venezuela. Issued by the International News, it is hard to tell if this is actually a vintage 1 and just shot with a bad camera or off a duplicate negative, but the figure of Clemente in uniform for his country is very rare regardless! Paper caption is presents but separated.
