Lot Description  

1919 World Series dated photograph of Black Sox Gambler Fred McMullen in full uniform for the Chicago White Sox. Detailed and bold, this was issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back. Condition is quite nice and the photo is a haunting reminder of the 1919 World Series gambling scandal. A pencil filing date on the back puts this image right at the start of the famed Black Sox World Series!
