1915 Profile photograph of Jack Bentley from the Washington Senators. He was one of the top prospects of his day and never really panned out to the level he was supposed to, but was a quality major leaguer with some big years. He went 16-5 for the giants in 1924 and was the hard luck loser when a pebble shot the ball over Freddie Lindstrom's glove to give the Senators the World Series that year. This is a killer image from early in his career (1915) and was re-used a few years later by a newspaper archive. Photo has a crease on the left side and some pinholes but the image quality is nice.
