1909 Harry Steinfeldt silver gelatin action photo for the Chicago Cubs. He was the anchor at Third Base for the Cubbies from 1898-1910 yet was left out of the famous poem about the Cubs Infield probably because his last name was too long! This is one of only a handful of known Steinfeldt images and despite editorial cuts and a paper tag glued to the bottom, it is a beautifully detailed and clear example. Stamped on the back by the famous Burke and Atwell studio, the photo is one of the finest of Steinfeldt in the world!
