1942 Photograph of four of the top sluggers in the American League, posed in the dugout as the Yankees and Red Sox met at Yankee Stadium. With all due respect to the other players, some of them Hall of Famers themselves, the star of this image is a young Ted Williams in uniform. Taken the year before he would head to WWII, this is one of the best Williams images from before WWII we have ever seen! Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
