1926 Portrait Photo of baseball superstar Wally Pipp in a new uniform (Cincinnati) the year after he was replaced by a young rookie named Lou Gehrig in the New York Yankees lineup. Silver gelatin photograph is impressive in its quality and clarity, the photo is stamped on the back by Wide World Photos and it presents well with note to a crease near his waist that was done during production. One of the better images of Pipp we have ever handled.
