Original 1922 head to toe batting photograph of the greatest hitter in the American League during the early 1920's, Harry Heilmann of the Detroit Tigers. The crystal clear image shows off his split-grip batting form and all things considered is one of his finest ever taken. The photo has been artfully die-cut by a newspaper editor a hundred years ago, but the actual figure of Heilmann is unaffected. Stamped on the back by Wide World photos and it carries most of the original paper caption as well!
