Important 1920 photograph of the Cleveland Indians team, posed together the month after their leader Ray Chapman was killed on the field. They are seen wearing the black arm band in support of their friend as it was announced they were the "likely" champions of the American League. Only a handful of photos of the team wearing the Chapman arm-bands are known to exist and despite the wear to the upper left corner (which could be restored) this is an important piece of baseball photography issued by Underwood and Underwood, fresh out of a newspaper archive and offered here for the first time ever!
