1910 Silver gelatin photograph of the black trainer of the Cleveland Indians "Doc" White. Seen posing at the ballpark and in a place where blacks were not allowed as players, the dugout! Seen with his trademark cap and street clothes, he was a famous and important part of the team but few to this day know that he was black! A pioneer of the game and one that needs to get more attention, this is one of only a handful of images of White known to exist.
