Important October 11, 1923 photograph from the year the New York Yankees won their first ever championship. Photo captures Babe Ruth crossing home plate after belting his first home run of the series, this one in the second game, just days from starting the greatest dynasty in sports history. Ruth is being greeted by batboy Eddie Bennett while two teammates wait for their turn to congratulate the Bambino. A large image in great shape, this was issued by the International News and bears their stamp and paper caption on the back which is detached but present. An important photograph as it not only captures Babe Ruth connecting on a World Series home run, but was taken the year the Yankees became champions for the first time ever! Photo comes with a full Type 1 letter from PSA as well.
