Beautiful 1919 horizontal portrait style photograph of star third baseman and key member of the famed 1919 Black Sox, Buck Weaver. Taken in full uniform at the ballpark, the image has a file date during the World Series against the Reds and was likely used in newspapers covering the scandal! Crystal clear and bold, there is some extra paper on the front which could probably be removed but we will not try it. Stamped on the back by the Press Illustrating Service and with deep clear tones. One of his best for sure.
