Large 1914 crystal clear portrait photograph of Jack Warhop in uniform with the New York Highlanders and posing at the ballpark. An exceptional work of early baseball art by famous photographer Charles Conlon, this is as good as pre-war photography gets. Every wrinkle in this veteran pitchers face and the individual threads on his logo are visible to the naked eye. Condition and quality are both outstanding and an argument can be made that this is one of Conlon's finest works of any player, certainly the best image of Warhop we have ever seen! Note, the pencil file mark of 1924 is when the newspaper archive this came from filed a collection of earlier Conlon works, this is absolutely a vintage 1914 example (possibly developed in 1915 based on white borders).
