One of the most beautiful baseball postcard sets ever produced is the 1907 Morgan Stationary "Red Belt" series. The key to that set is Hall of Famer Miller Huggins. Offered here for the first time ever is the only known vintage photograph of Huggins that was used to make his famous baseball card. Taken by noted Cincinnati photographer J.R. Schmidt and with a clear image, there is no doubt this is a "Type 1" and is the only known specimen of this photograph in the world according to our research. Despite a crease and some pinholes, the photo actually displays pretty well overall. A rare baseball card image from one of the most colorful and attractive sets of the era.
