1936 Large photograph of the doomed Nazi airship Hindenburg as it begins it docks in Lakehurst, New Jersey... the same place it would crash and burn the next year! An incredible image in nice shape overall, this is a work of aviation art and a true piece of American history! Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, this is one of the best Hindenburg photos from 1936 we have handled. A nice touch is a US Navy airship in the background which is completely dwarfed in size by the massive German monster. Condition and quality are both outstanding!
