Love him or hate him, Pete Rose played the game with a style that would have made Ty Cobb proud. He slid, he hustled and he banged into catchers when necessary. His collision with Ray Fosse is legendary, but coming in a close second is his hard nosed elbow to the head of Bruce Bochy in game number four of the NLCS in 1980. The event is photographed from a few different angles, with this one really showing the intentional elbow to Bochy's head as Rose follows through but with his arm still extended after the impact. While most are reproductions, this is only the second original example known and stamped on the back by local Houston photographer Bill Thompson who was at the game and snapped this when it happened! Date stamped on the back as well (October 11, 1980) this is a piece of Pete Rose history that belongs in the Hall of Fame, even if Pete cant be there too!
