1931 Double weight photo by Cullen Cain (National League Service Bureau) of tragic baseball star Len Koenecke. Pictured with the Indianapolis Indians in full uniform, Koenecke would die in an airplane in 1935. Not in a crash mind you, but he would get drunk and threaten the pilot in mid-air prompting the co-pilot to hit him over the head in an attempt to subdue him but accidently killing him. An example of one of the weirdest deaths in major league history. Condition is essentially perfect!
