One of the greatest images of the entire decade of the 1960's ever taken, this 1961 masterpiece pictures Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Yogi Berra posing on the dugout steps with bats. This is a silver gelatin original and the silvering can be seen easily when tilted to the light making this a high quality image developed by the original photographer and gifted to a prominent New York City Sports Cartoonist at the time. The photo comes with a PSA letter (type 2) that identifies this as being developed in a dark room off the original negative. They list it as a 1980's example but we feel confident this is a late 1970's piece and if it touches the eighties it does so barely, so we will describe it as c. 1980 to be safe. One of the finest pieces of Mantle/Maris photography we have ever offered.
