1945 Dramatic and gruesome photograph of dead Marines littering the beaches of Iwo Jima during the invasion. An official US Military photograph in great shape, this is a rare example of this photograph that almost never comes up for sale. An important piece of military history that deserves to be remembered, the photo has a period stamp on the back from the Associated Press and the wire caption clipped from the front and glued to the back. Condition is pretty nice with some light creasing at the upper left.
