An exceptional rarity, this is an original photo of the 1944 invasion of France as part of the famous "D-Day" offensive. Landing craft, observation balloons and soldiers mark the large scale of the attack and captures it like no other image out there. While vintage D-Day photos are scarce in any form, this was Eisenhower's personal favorite! This is an important photograph and condition is quite nice and while this is a re-strike it is from the 1960's making it still very old and much closer to the original that most you will ever find!
