Before Michael Jordan, Nike was a top manufacturer of athletic shoes without much of a buzz. As such, images before about 1985 of Phil Knight the founder of the company are extremely rare. The offered photo only exists because it was taken by a local photographer from Portland, Oregon which is the area that Nike originates. A unique new discovery in beautiful shape, this is being offered here for the first time ever! Knight is seen at the desk of his company, with an extremely early one of his shoes on the bookshelf behind him as a display piece, but now would be a huge money piece of memorabilia. Stamped 1983 when it was used for a story but the image itself has an ink filing date of 1981!
