1930 Was the pinnacle for Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig together in the lineup for the New York Yankees. The offered image captures both men with their manager, listed on the back as a troublesome trio, on the first day of spring training in St. Petersburg. A fantastic image of Ruth and Gehrig in pinstripes and one of only a handful of the men together until 1939 when Gehrig would be forced to retire due to illness as there was a growing rift between the stars. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, the photo presents beautifully and with a paper caption on the back as well. Images of Ruth and Gehrig together from the height of their careers are rare and always desirable with this on being a fantastic high grade example!
