In 1942 black troops enlisted by the tens of thousands to help during WWII despite barely being allowed to fight in combat situations. In an effort to celebrate their work, but still keeping them in a second class state this photo was released through Acme that shows the troops playing dominoes (a sterotypical game) on their way to fight in the Atlantic. It is sad that these boys were willing to sacrifice it all for the country they loved and could not even get basic respect in return. A clear and bold photograph that we have never seen before.
