The 1934 murder of Eric Madison by his wife seemed to be just another un of the mill media sensation, but in reality, it would become one of the seminal events in 20th century crime and punishment. Nellie may Madison at first was sentanced to death for the events, but as events started to unfold years afterwards a new theory took hold for the first time in American history as she detailed years and years of abuse that let to her finally taking matters into her own hands. In 1943, she was released and was one of the first to ever use the spousal abuse argument to justify homicide. The offered photograph is the only known image from the crme scene, showing the body of Eric Madison slumped behind his bed exactly as it lay when he was shot. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back, this is a fantastic crime scene rarity that presents well with a crease on the corner.
