Original 1937 photograph of famed aviator Amelia Earhart as she poses in Oakland, California before her upcoming flight around the world, the one in which she would crash and die a few months after this image was taken. A rare original in nice shape overall with some light handling wear (crease at the upper corners), this was issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption that notes the image also included Fred Noonan (who would perish with Earhart) as well as Paul Mantz and Harry Manning.
