By 1952 Marilyn Monroe was starting to make a name for herself. With several supporting roles to her credit and a lucrative career in modeling (she was labeled "the Cheesecake Queen"), she was finally emerging as the star we all know her to be today. At some point in 1952 she went to the studio of Bruno Bernard "Bernard of Hollywood" for a photo shoot that would be one of her best. The offered image her finds Monroe wearing a gold halter top and smiling for the camera sporting her newly trimmed platinum blonde look! Photo presents in pretty nice shape overall with just a few small areas of discoloration (oxidation) which could be removed. Detailed and beautiful, off the original negative and released by the Studio, this is one of the best images of Monroe we have ever offered and one of only two from the Bernard sitting we have offered (the last sold for $883 in 2016)!
