Large 1910's photograph of superstar baseball player Christy Mathewson as he poses at the ballpark for a photographer who is getting the perfect angle in his huge primitive camera equipment. A re-strike from about the 1940's, this is only the second example of this photograph we have ever seen with this being a superior example. Images of ballplayers with the photographers are extremely rare and this is perhaps the best we have ever handled. Condition and quality are both outstanding and the stamp on the back from Culver is one of their earliest we have seen.
