1946 Photograph of Negro League star Paul Hardy from his short tenure as player-manager of the Seattle Steelheads of the Negro Leagues. Hardy was one of the top Negro league catchers of his era and images of him are scarce, but this is the fist we have seen of him in uniform with the Seattle Steelheads which is likewise and important west coast team in the Negro Leagues. Photo is completely original and bold! Note the signature is embedded into the negative and it was almost certainly a promotional item, the photo is not signed in ink.
