1932 Photograph of the famous bonus army that marched for benefits during the great depression that they felt were owed to them by the government for their service in WWI about fifteen years earlier. Their marches and protests were famous during the depression and this image captures some of them at the train station, beaten down first by life and then by their government who refused their claims. They were retreating by the hundreds and this image is a powerful reminder of their plight. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a large paper caption and in great shape.
